RCT Console is a powerful Device Type Manager (DTM) for Badger Meter Inc. Coriolis Mass Flow Meters. The program provides instrument configuration, multi-parameter data logging/graphing, asset optimization through remote/local maintenance, historian functions, and specialized functional tools (such as batching, backup and restore, etc.). The program implements instrument access by BMI Protocol via RS485 and RS232 connection. Bluetooth and USB serial ports are also supported.

New features:

  • Implement 10-point sensor linearization manager tool. (Automated Meter Calibrator)
  • Implement New Calibration from Template File function. With this function an existing calibration file can be open but only the calibration plan will only kept. Using this function you can re-do any existing calibrations without creating manually a new CALX file with a new calibration plan. (Meter Calibrator, Automated Meter Calibrator)
  • Implement Automated Meter Calibrator feature for AFS MassMeter transmitter. This makes possible to automated calibration with a connected scale, current controlled pump, and connected emptying valve. All hardware elements are controlled by the calibrated transmitters digital outputs.
  • Show current transmitter name in "[ID], [TransmitterName] - Parameter Access Toolbar" format (PArameter Access Toolbar)
  • Add a new feature which adds a new variable (to the current parameter) based on the already existing variable of the parameter. (Configuration Editor of Transmitters.)
  • Read Transmitter button - in Parameter Access Toolbar of the Transmitter Explorer Ribbon tab - got a dropdown list with the most frequently used parameters (maximum 10). The recent parameters list is "dynamic", the most frequently used parameter will always be the first element in the list.

Bug fixes:

  • Resolves an issue with creating batch setpoint in wrong unit when creating new calibration. (Meter Calibrator)
  • Resolves an issue with losing the focus from parameter selector drop-down list box after reading the parameter value. With this fix the parameter selector drop-down list box gets back the focus after reading the parameter value from the transmitter and you can type in the next parameter ID number without needing to click into the list box again. (Parameter Access Toolbar)
  • Resolves an issue with causing run-time error if count of last used parameters is greater than 11. (Parameter Access Toolbar)
  • Resolves an issue with faulty executing scroll bar zooming in Graph. (Graph/Data Logger)
  • Resolves an issue with showing faulty standard deviation values in Graph. (Graph/Data Logger)
  • Resolves an issue with connecting to Sartorius scale caused run-time error. (Meter Calibrator)

When this function is turned on (in Graph Toolbar) then RCT Console shows a vertical and a horizontal scrollbar nearby the Y and X axes and the chart can be "scrolled" according to the set zoom scale: 1:100 (default for X axis), 1:50, 1:20, 1:10, 1:5, 1:2 and 1:1 (default for Y1 and Y2 axes)
  • Show and Reset Password buttons added to RCT Console Password dialog.

  • RCT Console
    • Transmitter error LED is always shown if the protocol is AFS Massmeter. If the transmitter does not support the Error Record parameter then clicking on error LED does nothing

    • Transmitter Manager: double click on transmitter name starts the in-line transmitter name editor
    • Transmitter Manager columns are auto sized after adding/deleting/renaming/editing transmitters
    • Add new transmitter dialog shows the selected transmitters type name as transmitter name by default. If user changes the type of the transmitter then the name of the transmitter is automatically changes.
  • AFS Mass Flow Meter transmitter
    • Changing any unit in Meter calibrator ensures that the whole sheet will use the same unit automatically.
    • If the unit of Batch size is changed then unit of Batch Counter and Corrected Scale will also be changed automatically. This works also if you change the unit of Batch Counter or Corrected Scale.
    • Error calculated as 100 * (batch counter - corrected scale) / corrected scale
    • New flow factor is calculated as FFold * AverageOf(corrected mass) / AverageOf(batch counter))
    • During opening existing CALX files the error is checked and fixed if it is necessary.
    • Measurement points belong to Flow factor calibration will not be shown on error graph
  • Sensor Simulator
    • Drive Response test added.
